A new step in life

We’re taking the next big step in life.

We’re purchasing our first home.

It has taken us 6 years to get to the point where we were ready for this step. Everything is where it’s at. Finally. We’ve been searching and searching for the house. We’ve been working on our credit. We’ve been researching schools.

We found the perfect house in a great school district.

We’re buying our first home!

I never thought I’d see this day. I never thought we’d get to this point. But here we are. We’re finally here. We’re two weeks away from closing. TWO WEEKS! It’s been a very fast process. It was a very spur of the moment thing when we went to go see it really. We weren’t planning on buying for at least another year. The house had been reduced again. It was in the area we wanted. The school district we wanted.

So we went. We decided that day we were going to buy. Despite the goofy real estate agent. Despite everything….that house was going to be ours.

There have been a lot of firsts for the man and I. We got married. Our first cat. The kids. We rented our first place. Our first car together. Worked for the same company. Now…our first house.

We already have plans on what we want to do. Redoing the sidewalk. Tearing down the wallpaper. Painting. Expanding the driveway. Redoing the kitchen. Updating the game room.

I’m so excited. This is one of the biggest things I’ve ever done in my life. Aside from getting married and having the boys of course.

On a side note I now have 3 books published. Another coming out in July and a fifth coming out later 2014 early 2015.

What a year!

  1. Congratulations !!! I’m sure you will be happy in your home. And as a bonus, you won’t have to put up with that neighbor anymore.
