Shit happens

Yes, shit happens.
Sometimes it’s good, most of the time it’s not.

It’s hard when bad things happen.

You lose your job, your spouse looses their job, the kids are being bad, you didn’t get the big job you were hoping for.

Shit happens.

Most times though, when things look down, they have a tendency to turn around. It may not be how you thought or what you wanted but it happens.

The one thing I found that helps when shit happens is, grab a cookie and tea then sit on the couch in self-pity.

I’m kidding.

Even though that is what I do sometimes. I’ll kick myself in the ass for a while until I decide enough is enough. It’s not always easy to get out of the self-pity cycle and there will be times when you need someone else to help.

The bad thing that happened won’t always turn around right away. It may take days, weeks, months or even years. But good things do come to those who wait, so don’t rush. You may even have to take steps to correct whatever the problem is/was.

It won’t always be easy. Life isn’t easy and it isn’t fair.

In fact, life can be a down right bitch at times. She doesn’t care if you have had your heart-broken, she doesn’t care if you have kids that need fed and she definitely doesn’t give a damn if you need a job.

There are times when you’re going to have to take life and “smack a bitch”. That’s right, grab her (life) and give her a good shake. Take it into your hands and own it.

The only thing that stands between you and greatness, is you. Ignore everyone who says that you can’t do this or you can’t do that. Everyone falls on hard times at one point or another, it’s what you do when shit happens that makes you who you are.

Don’t be a lazy ass who does the woe is me all the time. Nobody likes that person. Doing it now and then and in the comfort of your own home is fine, don’t do it around people.

Just remember when shit happens, just flush it.
