Recipe Swap!

I’ve been pondering over this the past week or so and thought it may be a good idea.

I want to start a recipe swap. Whenever I come across a good recipe I’m going to post it.

Everybody is definitely more than welcome to post their recipes in the comment section of the blog. I encourage and welcome it actually.

Today’s recipe is one that Greg stumbled upon on bisquick.com. He pointed it out to me and I figured ya know, that looks really good.

It combines two of my boys favorite foods; pizza and hotdogs.

Twisted Pizza Dogs

Prep time: 15 minutes

Cook time: 10-15 minutes ( Find cooking the hotdogs first helps while they cook in the oven)

Servings: 8

Ingredients:

1 3/4 cups Original Bisquick mix

1/3 cup milk

1 can (8 oz) pizza sauce

8 hot dogs

1 tablespoon milk

2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (I used mozzerrela)

  1.  Heat oven to 425ºF. Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray.
  2.  In medium bowl, stir Bisquick mix, 1/3 cup milk and 2 tablespoons of the pizza sauce with fork until soft dough forms; beat 30 seconds. Place dough on surface dusted with Bisquick mix; roll in Bisquick mix to coat. Shape into a ball; knead 10 times.
  3.  Roll dough into 12×8-inch rectangle. Cut dough lengthwise into eight 1-inch strips. Shape 1 piece of dough around each hot dog in a spiral design; seal ends if necessary. Place on cookie sheet.
  4.  Brush 1 tablespoon milk over dough; sprinkle with cheese. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with remaining pizza sauce, heated if desired.
