You know when the mom held her toddler up on a fence and he fell in and was mauled to death.

Well this awesome family is really doing something absolutely ridiculous.

They are suing the zoo. They are claiming it’s the zoo’s fault the mother was irresponsible. Oh wait…I’m sorry…the wording is that the zoo had ample warning people held their children up to the fence.

Okay…so if your friend jumps off a bridge do you do it as well?

There are signs and barriers for a reason people. To keep you out of the enclosures!

I am in utter shock at the gall of this family. Yes their son died; however, it was 100% the MOTHER’S fault. Not the zoo’s.

What do these people want? The zoo shut down? To cash in on their son’s death? To have an employee walk around holding everyone’s hand saying no-no that’s dangerous?

I am loosing hope for humanity. What happened to taking responsibility for your own actions? When did what you do wrong become someone else’s problem?

I read an article a few weeks ago where a mother climbed over a barrier with her toddler, the toddler was mauled by a bobcat (survived), and that mother was arrested. This mother holds her child up, he falls and is mauled to death, and they SUE the ZOO??? Does anyone else find that completely ridiculous? In the over 100 years that the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium has been in existence this is the ONLY instance of someone being dumb enough to drop their child into an enclosure with wild animals. You have to think if hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people manage to walk through those gates and not die…it’s not the zoo.

I’ve gone to the zoo hundreds of times in my almost 28 years of life, dozens of times with my almost 5-year-old twins…wanna know something? We’re all alive. Wanna know why? We follow the rules. I don’t hold my children up on barriers for a better look. I know how to tell my child no when it would mean them possibly dying.

I’m by no means a perfect mother. We all make mistakes. The difference between the mistakes the average parent make and what this woman did is that our mistakes have not resulted in our children dying. Use your brain, folks! If it’s in the least bit dangerous…learn to tell your kid no. Then you won’t have to sue our f*cking zoo. Jagoffs.

I’m going to have say that is not working. PAT sucks! It really does. I can’t tell you how many rude drivers I’ve met. How many fights I’ve seen on the buses where the driver does nothing. How many times we’ve almost had our car hit because of bus drivers not giving a shit. Or how many times I’ve seen buses speeding up and down our residential street. (Kids play here…I don’t let mine out front anymore. I CAN’T WAIT TO MOVE!)

So back to the drink tax. Some people were pissed because that meant drink prices were going up. It sucks, but it is what it is. You can’t just not pay your taxes. That’s only a little against the law. And as some bars/restaurants are finding out today….that means you’re out of business.

Amanda Berry, her six-year-old daughter, Gina DeJesus, and Michelle Knight were rescued from Ariel Castro’s home. The three women had been held there against their will for TEN YEARS! TEN!

Well Amanda managed to get free. She climbed through a hole made in a door an into the arms of neighbor, Charles Ramsey.

She then called 911. Have you heard that call? How can someone be so insensitive to such a frantic woman? Even if the dispatcher thought it was a fake there was no need to try and hang up so fast and insist she just talk to somebody when they get there. When a car is made available.

The woman was terrified! Even though she was surrounded by people she probably thought Ariel Castro or one of his brothers would return and force her into the house. I wouldn’t have been as nice as her. I can think of some choice 4 letter words for them. I would have been panicked. I would have been screaming. I would have begged and pleaded with my last breath to get a police car there immediately.

I really hope that the county reviews the tape and seriously thinks about dismissing that particular dispatcher…or putting them all through some serious sensitivity training.

The CEO, Mike Jeffries, doesn’t want uncool, fat women wearing his companies clothing. He only wants hot, skinny women wearing it so more skinny, hot women wear it.

I have never been so repulsed by a company or a man before in my life. Who does this man think he is? What gives him the right to determine who is hot? Or cool? Or attractive? I know plenty of women who are not a size 2 and are absolutely beautiful. They’re funny. They’re caring. And they have more style than the skinny, hot women he wants in his stores. Size does NOT decide how beautiful a person is. 

While I strive to be healthier, I am okay not being a size 6 anymore. But for this man to say that fat, old, ugly people are not worthy to wear A & F’s clothing is absolutely fucking ridiculous. 

What sort of message is this piece of shit sending to young girls and teens around the world? He’s telling them if you don’t fit into my model of a perfect woman you’re worthless. You’re less of a person because you’re a size 12. Or a size 14. You’re not cool. You suck.

Fellow women of the world…if you’re bigger than this asshat of a man’s ideal size…you’re not uncool. You are not ugly. You are beautiful. A clothing company does not determine when you’re too big. If you are happy with yourself…well THAT is what matters. If you are comfortable with who you are THAT is what matters. A sexist, masochistic pig is not the final say on what beauty is. If you’re size 0, 4, 8, 12, or 24 be happy with who you are. You only change if YOU want to change.

The Pens are stacked for the playoffs. I was going nuts on Saturday during the 3rd period. 8-3? 8-3! And James Neal getting a hat trick after missing 8-9 games! He was definitely letting everyone know he is back! I can only hope Crosby will be back soon. I miss watching Crosby.
